What You’ll Learn in Fire Extinguisher Training

Participants learn how to identify common fire hazards, recognize classes of fire, and choose the correct extinguisher type. Training covers basic fire behavior, how extinguishers work, and the PASS technique (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep). Teams also learn when it is appropriate to attempt extinguishment versus when to evacuate and call emergency services. When operations is included, participants complete hands-on extinguisher use in a controlled setting.
