AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Course

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) training for healthcare providers, students, and clinical personnel. Training is delivered at our training facility or on-site for groups.

Who this course is for?

This course is intended for individuals who are required to complete an American Heart Association BLS Provider course.

Common participants include:

  • Healthcare providers and clinical staff

  • Nursing, medical, dental, and allied health students

  • First responders and public safety personnel

  • Individuals whose employer or program specifically requires AHA BLS

If you are unsure whether you need BLS or a general CPR course, confirm with your employer or program prior to registering.

AHA BLS Provider (In-Person)

Instructor-led AHA BLS Provider training covering adult, child, and infant CPR, AED use, airway management, and team-based resuscitation.

This is a complete course that includes all required skills practice and testing.

HeartCode BLS Skills Verification

In-person skills verification for individuals who have completed the HeartCode BLS online course.

The online portion must be completed prior to attending a skills session.

Heartcode Information

The HeartCode BLS online course is completed through the American Heart Association.

Payment for the online course is made directly to the American Heart Association. FACTS does not receive any portion of this fee.

Completion of the online portion alone does not result in a course completion card. An in-person skills session is required.

Training Location

We offer AHA BLS training at our dedicated training facility or on-site for groups. Skills verification sessions for HeartCode students are also available at our facility or delivered on-site.

Students are expected to have access to the current AHA BLS Provider Manual for class.

Printed manuals require shipping time. Plan accordingly prior to your course date.

Manuals can be provided by FACTS if needed, at an additional cost.

What to expect?

Hands-on, instructor-led training focused on real-world application. Participants will practice skills individually and as part of a team and complete required skills testing.

In-person courses are approximately 4 hours, depending on class size and participation. Skills sessions are approximately 1 hour.

Course Completion

Participants who successfully complete all required skills and testing will receive an American Heart Association BLS Provider course completion card (eCard), valid for two years.

eCard Access

Students and employers can access and verify American Heart Association eCards using the link below.

eCards are issued after successful course completion and are typically available shortly after your training is completed.

Students can search using their name, email, or eCard code. Employers can verify eCards using the eCard code.

If you are unable to locate an eCard, contact your Training Center for assistance.
